Meet Prabhjot
PRABHJOT KAUR
Hello, my name is Prabhjot Kaur, and I’m proud to be a part of the Cedar House team as a Medical Office Assistant. I bring both professional experience and warm, people-focused care to my role at the clinic.
I’m originally from Punjab, India, and I’ve always been passionate about helping people. I’m known for my friendly nature, positive energy, and charming personality. I truly enjoy talking with people and love being around babies and families- helping them feel welcome and supported during their visits is one of the best parts of my day. I am so excited to go further with this beautiful journey.
Before joining Cedar House, I worked at a local health clinic in India, where I gained front-desk and coordination experience. My journey in Canada started in a very people-focused role- working at Walmart as people greeter and Self-Checkout Attendant. That experience helped me grow confident in public communication, handling pressure, and solving small problems with a smile. I loved working with the public and making customers feel supported, even in busy times.
Along with Walmart, I volunteered with Island Health, helping at the nursing unit and the public information desk. These roles helped me build excellent skills in patient care and communication.
At Cedar House, I assist with appointment booking, check-ins, scanning, and charting documents, and help families and babies feel safe, seen and supported. I love working in a place where babies are born and families are growing; it’s a very special environment. I really wanted to feel them very special and safe in the prenatal and postpartum period.
I feel lucky since I started working at Cedar House, to work alongside midwives and doctors, who are truly inspiring. Their dedication, calm nature and deep care for families makes a big difference in people's lives. I deeply appreciate the work they are doing for all the families.
Outside of the clinic, I love playing with children, talking with people, and exploring different natural spots. I’m happy to be a part of a place that supports growing families- and I look forward to welcoming you at Cedar House!
